About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our guests. You will work closely with the store manager to understand the retail business and develop management skills. This is a paid, on-site, full-time internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks such as cashiering, merchandise display, and facility cleaning.
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Build and maintain guest relationships to develop a client-based business.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
