About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern supports the store mission to provide an enjoyable shopping experience for all guests. Interns work closely with the Store Manager to gain a practical understanding of retail business operations, leadership, and management. This role involves completing specific modules from the company management manual, providing regular progress reports to leadership, and taking ownership of a specific product category to set goals and track results.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide consistent customer service.
- Build and maintain long-term guest relationships to support a client-based business.
- Demonstrate product knowledge to help guests select merchandise and create wardrobing experiences.
- Manage Point of Sale (POS) procedures, including processing transactions and handling cash.
- Monitor the store environment to recognize and prevent security risks or theft.
- Assist with visual merchandising, including processing freight, maintaining displays, and ensuring the sales floor is organized.
- Participate in recruiting efforts and contribute to a positive floor culture.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a relevant field.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of current sales, promotions, and retail trends.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends based on business needs.
