About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on understanding retail business operations and management. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn how Buckle runs its stores while contributing to a positive shopping experience for guests. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing, and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking your own results.
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering, merchandise display, and facility maintenance.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance through the Performance Tracker.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field like Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- You have an interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- You can lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- No prior experience or training is necessary.
