About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how Buckle operates while gaining hands-on experience in leadership and store management. This is a rolling, full-time internship opportunity based in Waco, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating your teammates, and tracking your results.
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store environment.
- Perform daily sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering, merchandise display, and register procedures.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- You have an interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- You are physically able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- You can work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
