About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern supports the store mission of creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn the fundamentals of the retail business and develop management skills. This is a full-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing, and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance through the Performance Tracker.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Perform merchandising tasks including handling freight, re-merchandising, preparing displays, and completing price markdowns.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- No prior experience or training is necessary.
