About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern program provides an opportunity to learn the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand daily operations and develop your leadership skills. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Peoria, Illinois.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering, merchandise displays, and facility cleaning.
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering orientation, leadership, and hiring.
- Manage a product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking your results.
- Lead and motivate the team by using the Performance Tracker to monitor department or company tools.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area Manager and District Manager.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or Communications.
- You have an interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- You are physically able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs in the store and backroom.
