About the role#
As a Sales and Management Intern, you will work closely with the store management team to learn the fundamentals of retail operations and leadership at The Buckle. This role focuses on gaining hands-on experience in sales generation, visual merchandising, and team development. You will contribute to our mission of creating a positive shopping experience for every guest.
What you'll do#
- Complete core sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results using Performance Tracker.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Perform daily sales, merchandising, and operational tasks such as cashiering, merchandise display, and facility maintenance.
- Develop your skills in recruiting, leadership, and visual merchandising.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and take ownership of assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management from a four-year college or university.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
