About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position at The Buckle, Inc. focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work directly with the Store Manager to understand store operations, management practices, and guest service. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term, based on-site in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering and store maintenance.
- Complete core sections of the Buckle Management Manual, covering orientation, leadership, and hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating the team, and tracking results.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to Area and District Managers.
- Open and close cash registers and manage cash handling procedures.
- Assist guests with selections, fit appointments, and wardrobing.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management at a four-year college or university.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- No prior experience or training is required.
