About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while gaining experience in retail business operations. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how the business functions and what is required to excel in management. This is a paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Perform a variety of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering and store maintenance.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Complete specific training modules, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing, and Hiring.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Handle operational duties such as opening and closing cash registers, balancing drawers, and making deposits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university, with a focus on Business Administration or Marketing.
- An interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
