About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern supports the store mission by creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn how the retail business functions and gain experience in management. This role involves a mix of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks while completing specific training modules from the Buckle Management Manual.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering and merchandise display.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Complete Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Open and close cash registers, balance cash drawers, and make deposits.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
