About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on understanding retail operations and developing leadership skills. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn the business, contribute to store operations, and complete specific training modules from the Buckle Management Manual. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in Canton, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Complete training sections covering Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering, merchandise displays, and facility cleaning.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance tools.
- Actively participate in monthly conference calls.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management from a four-year college or university.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
