About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while learning the fundamentals of retail management. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how the business operates, from daily floor operations to team leadership. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks such as cashiering, merchandise displays, and facility maintenance.
- Complete modules from the Buckle Management Manual covering orientation, leadership, and hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating the team, and tracking results.
- Use the Performance Tracker to lead and motivate the team regarding specific departments or company tools.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete required internship assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
