About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position provides an opportunity to develop retail business skills while contributing to the store mission of creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn the fundamentals of retail operations and management. This is a full-time, on-site internship that offers a path for those interested in a long-term commitment with the company.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering, register procedures, and maintaining merchandise displays.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates on the product, and tracking results.
- Recruit, train, and develop teammates while fostering a positive floor culture.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to Area and District Managers.
- Complete required sections of the company management manual and participate in monthly conference calls.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- You have an interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- You are able to work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- You have the physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
