About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand daily operations, merchandising, and leadership. This is a paid, on-site internship based in Huntsville, Alabama. We are looking for individuals interested in a long-term commitment with the company.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks as assigned by store management.
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking your results.
- Develop skills in recruiting, merchandising, and leadership.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area and District Managers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university, specifically in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- No prior experience or training is required for this role.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- A strong interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
