About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to develop retail management skills while working closely with store leadership. You will gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of a retail business, focusing on sales generation, merchandising, and team development. This role is designed for students interested in a long-term commitment and gaining a comprehensive understanding of how our retail business functions.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking performance results.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering, merchandise display, and maintaining a clean, organized store.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete required internship assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
