About the role#
As a Sales and Management Intern, you will work closely with the Store Manager to learn how our retail business operates. You will gain hands-on experience in leadership, merchandising, and sales while contributing to our goal of providing an enjoyable shopping experience for our guests. This role is designed for those interested in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
What you'll do#
- Complete key sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates on the product, and tracking your results.
- Recruit, train, and develop teammates while maintaining store standards.
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks such as cashiering, merchandise display, and routine facility cleaning.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- No prior experience or training is necessary for this position.
- You have the physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- You are interested in a long-term commitment with the company.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship located in Humble, Texas.
- The schedule is rolling and requires flexibility, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
