About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business and developing management skills. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how the company operates while contributing to a positive shopping experience for guests. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering teammate orientation, leadership, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring.
- Manage a product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking your results.
- Lead and motivate the team by using the Performance Tracker tool.
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering, merchandise display, and register procedures.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area and District Managers.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field of study.
- You should have an interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- You must be physically able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- You should be comfortable working a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
