About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand daily operations and management responsibilities. This role requires a commitment to the company mission of providing an enjoyable shopping experience for guests.
What you'll do#
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates on the product, and tracking your results.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Recruit and train teammates while fostering a positive floor culture.
- Perform daily sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering and register procedures.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or Human Resources.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
