About the role#
As a Sales and Management Intern, you will work closely with the store management team to learn the fundamentals of retail operations and leadership at Buckle. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in business management while contributing to the store's daily goals and guest service mission.
What you'll do#
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering teammate orientation, leadership, recruiting, and interviewing.
- Manage a designated product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates on the product, and tracking performance results.
- Perform core retail tasks including sales, merchandising, register procedures, and cashiering.
- Build and maintain guest relationships to support a client-based business model.
- Provide weekly progress updates and reports to Area and District Managers.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and take ownership of assigned internship projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
