About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works with store leadership to learn the retail business. You will focus on sales, merchandising, and store operations while developing your management skills. This is a hands-on role where you contribute to the store mission of providing a positive shopping experience for guests.
What you'll do#
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering orientation, leadership, and hiring.
- Manage a product category by setting sales goals, educating your teammates, and tracking your results.
- Use the Performance Tracker to lead and motivate the team regarding specific company tools.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Perform daily store tasks including cashiering, merchandise display, and facility maintenance.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete required internship projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
