About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works with the Store Manager to learn the retail business and develop management skills. You will focus on creating a positive shopping experience for guests while gaining hands-on experience in sales, operations, and leadership. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering and merchandise display.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Open and close cash registers, count money, and balance cash drawers.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management from a four-year college or university.
- You have the physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- You are interested in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
