About the role#
As a Sales and Management Intern, you will work closely with store management to learn how our retail business functions. This role focuses on developing your recruiting, merchandising, and leadership skills while contributing to our mission of providing an enjoyable shopping experience for our guests. You will manage a specific product category, set sales goals, and track your results.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering, merchandise displays, and facility maintenance.
- Complete core sections of the Buckle Management Manual, covering orientation, leadership, and hiring.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Manage a product category by educating teammates and tracking performance using company tools.
- Greet guests, answer questions, and provide personalized service to meet their needs.
- Open and close cash registers, balance drawers, and handle daily deposits.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
