About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our guests. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn the inner workings of our retail business and develop your leadership skills. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in a retail environment.
What you'll do#
- Complete key sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Develop a deep understanding of our products, sales presentations, and merchandising processes.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking your results.
- Perform daily store operations such as cashiering, maintaining merchandise displays, and cleaning the facility.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- The physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- A genuine interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- The ability to perform all essential job duties satisfactorily.
