About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works with the store management team to learn the retail business. You will focus on sales, merchandising, and operations while gaining experience in leadership and recruiting. This role involves direct interaction with guests to provide service and support the store mission.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks such as cashiering, merchandise displays, and store cleaning.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Complete required sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Develop skills in recruiting, merchandising, and team leadership.
- Assist guests with selections, fitting, and purchases to build relationships.
- Handle freight, perform price markdowns, and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
