About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works with store management to learn the retail business and develop leadership skills. You will balance sales goals with operational tasks to create a positive shopping experience for Guests. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Greet Guests and help them find merchandise that meets their needs.
- Achieve personal sales goals and assist Guests in fitting rooms.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Complete sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering orientation, leadership, and hiring.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Participate in monthly conference calls.
- Handle operational tasks including opening and closing cash registers.
- Maintain store appearance through merchandising, handling freight, and preparing displays.
- Follow Loss Prevention guidelines and monitor for security risks.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Availability to work the day of and the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
Location & details#
- Location: Fresno, California.
- Pay: $17 - $20 per hour (includes base rate plus commission).
