About the role#
As a Sales and Management Intern, you will work closely with the Store Manager to learn the fundamentals of our retail operations. You will focus on delivering a high-quality shopping experience for our Guests while developing your leadership and merchandising skills. This role involves a mix of hands-on sales, store maintenance, and management training.
What you'll do#
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering orientation, leadership, recruiting, and hiring.
- Manage a designated product category by setting sales goals, educating your teammates, and tracking performance results.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to your Area and District Managers.
- Build and maintain Guest relationships to develop a client-based business.
- Develop a deep understanding of our products, sales presentation techniques, and merchandising processes.
- Assist with daily store operations, including cashiering, merchandise displays, and facility maintenance.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete all required internship assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management from a four-year college or university.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- No prior experience or training is required for this role.
