About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with store management to understand operations, merchandising, and leadership. This role is designed for students interested in a long-term commitment with the company.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering, merchandise displays, and facility maintenance.
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking your results.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance metrics through company tools.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical capacity to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
