About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how the store operates while gaining experience in leadership, merchandising, and sales. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to the store mission by providing service to guests and supporting the team.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates on the product, and tracking your results.
- Perform sales floor tasks, including cashiering, merchandise displays, and register procedures.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance data using company tools.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
