About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works directly with the Store Manager to learn the retail business and management operations. You will focus on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while developing your own leadership, recruiting, and merchandising skills. This is a full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Perform daily sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering, merchandise display, and facility maintenance.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Develop recruiting and leadership skills through hands-on experience and monthly conference calls.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year college or university pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Operations Management.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs in the store and backroom.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.

- Compensation: $15-$19 per hour, including base pay plus commission.
