About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand daily operations and management responsibilities. This role is designed for students interested in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
What you'll do#
- Complete key sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing, and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating your teammates, and tracking your results.
- Lead and motivate the team by using the Performance Tracker for tools like denim, accessories, or the Buckle card.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Perform daily sales, merchandising, and operational tasks such as cashiering, merchandise display, and register procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field of study.
- No prior experience or training is necessary.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- A genuine interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
