About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship at our Midland, Michigan location. You will work directly with the Store Manager to learn the inner workings of our retail business. The role focuses on developing your skills in leadership, recruiting, and merchandising while you contribute to our mission of providing a positive shopping experience for our guests.
What you'll do#
- Complete core sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering orientation, leadership, recruiting, and interviewing.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating your teammates, and tracking your progress.
- Lead and motivate the team using the Performance Tracker tool for specific departments like denim, accessories, or footwear.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Handle daily operational tasks including cashiering, merchandise displays, and facility maintenance.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and take ownership of all internship assignments.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- You have an interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- You can work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- You are physically able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
