About the role#
As a Data Operations Intern, you will work with our Project Managers and Technology Enablement team to prepare, analyze, and cleanse data for retail production. You will contribute to operational success by standardizing processes, creating documentation, and transforming raw data into actionable insights. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based on-site in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preparing, cleansing, and validating data for production and analytical needs.
- Standardize processes by following established SOPs to improve efficiency.
- Merge, manipulate, and format large datasets to meet project requirements.
- Perform quality checks and cleanse data by eliminating duplicates and incomplete records.
- Create and modify distribution lists and production-ready files.
- Develop and update workflow documentation using flowcharts or swimlane diagrams.
- Communicate concerns or suggestions promptly to project managers and supervisors.
- Participate in various tasks and projects to support the data operations team.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience or coursework in relational databases and SQL.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or AWS architecture is a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for data and process improvement.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
- Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing data-related challenges.
- Knack for creating clear and concise documentation for workflows.
- Ability to present ideas concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Willingness to admit mistakes, reliability, and a collaborative attitude.
