    About the role#

    As an Engineering Co-op, you will work with experienced engineers and business professionals on projects that support the planning, operation, and modernization of the electric grid. You will gain hands-on experience, develop technical skills, and contribute to initiatives that drive the energy transition while building your professional network.

    What you'll do#

    • Support engineers on electric infrastructure projects designing distribution and transmission power systems.
    • Develop solutions to gather, store, and use electrical asset data.
    • Create and maintain electrical models using power flow software.
    • Prepare scope of work documents, cost estimates, and project schedules.
    • Build project business cases using financial modeling tools.
    • Validate project financial data for the annual budget review process.
    • Manage the budget for assigned transmission and distribution annual investment programs.
    • Use Management of Change and Asset Governance processes.
    • Participate in root cause analyses for equipment failures.
    • Support the development and updates of Asset Life Cycle Plans.
    • Attend site visits to substations to verify electric facilities.
    • Study potential grid problems and propose solutions.
    • Participate in company learning opportunities and network with peers and leaders.

    • Current enrollment in an engineering program.
    • Interest in electric infrastructure projects.
    • Ability to work in an Agile, collaborative environment.
    • Strong technical and analytical skills.
