About the role#
As a member of the AES OH PMO Team, you will contribute to projects that meet customer growth demands, improve system reliability, and support quality customer service. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute project plans from inception to completion.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers in planning and tracking electric utility projects, with a focus on substation and transmission line work.
- Help prepare project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and procurement teams to ensure necessary materials and resources are available.
- Participate in site visits to observe construction progress, safety practices, and quality control measures.
- Support documentation for regulatory compliance, environmental permitting, and internal reporting.
- Analyze project data to identify efficiency opportunities and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- A willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.
- Interest in the electric utility industry and infrastructure development.
- Familiarity with project management software is a plus.
