About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Muskegon, Michigan. You will work on-site within the Materials department to support supply chain operations and material systems.
What you'll do#
- Perform various material duties and support the creation of new material systems and procedures.
- Apply Kautex policies and procedures to the supplier base.
- Maintain an open liaison relationship with both internal customers and suppliers.
- Evaluate material processes to identify opportunities for quality improvements.
- Document lessons learned to assist with future process development.
- Handle miscellaneous tasks such as maintaining open issues and after-action review data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university degree program for supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of material functions.
- Understanding of materials science is preferred.
- Prior experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
