About the role#
As a Summer Investment Analyst Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting investment research, analysis, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring. You will work alongside experienced investment professionals to contribute meaningful work, collaborate with asset class teams, and complete a summer-long project to present to senior leadership. You will be paired with dedicated mentors across the investment team to provide guidance throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on a range of investment topics.
- Develop white papers and strategic insights tailored to specific asset classes and team priorities.
- Support special projects that inform investment decisions and portfolio strategy.
- Participate in initial and ongoing due diligence of fund investments, including document reviews and on-site interviews.
- Assist with investment analytics, reporting, and maintaining oversight documentation.
- Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of internally managed portfolios.
- Support performance reviews and strategic assessments of portfolio holdings.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing platforms for investment due diligence, analysis, and performance measurement.
- Help optimize workflows and data systems to enhance investment operations.
- Track and analyze performance across private, public, and crossover market investments.
- Maintain investment due diligence files and deal flow databases.
What you'll need#
- Must be enrolled in an accredited institution as an undergraduate rising junior or senior, or a graduate student.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Major in General Business, Accounting, Finance, Math/Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or Engineering.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Intermediate knowledge of or interest in economic concepts, financial markets, and investment research.
- Interest in applying investment research techniques and analyzing data.
- Interest in programming or learning to program with Python, R, Tableau/Power BI, SQL, or VBA.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Honest, ethical, and mission-focused mindset.
- Willingness to demonstrate initiative and a desire to receive feedback.
Location & details#
- Term: June 1, 2027 to July 31, 2027.
- Location: Innovation Tower, Downtown Austin, Texas.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
