About the role#
As a Quality Assurance Analyst Intern, you will support the validation of software, data changes, and new features within our insurance processing systems. You will work under the direction of the QA Supervisor and receive mentorship from our team to ensure our systems meet business requirements and regulatory standards. This is a paid, on-site role based in Waco, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Execute manual and automated testing using provided tools.
- Develop test plans based on system requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and developers during testing and defect resolution.
- Track traceability from requirements to test activities and record all results.
- Report defects and monitor them through the retesting process.
- Monitor work management tools like ADO, RTC, and JIRA.
- Attend, organize, and document meetings.
- Maintain knowledge of processing functions and Texas Department of Insurance regulations.
- Report metrics on testing activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate degree program or higher in computer science, business administration, or a related technical field.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to organize and complete detailed tasks.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new problems.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Waco, Texas.
- This is an on-site, full-time internship with a rolling term.
- Physical requirements include extended periods of sitting and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
