About the role#
Texas Farm Bureau is hiring an Enterprise Architect Intern to work with senior technical experts within our Information Systems department. You will help develop technology roadmaps that align with our overall strategy. This is a paid position with a maximum of 19 hours per week for up to one year.
What you'll do#
- Develop enterprise architecture artifacts and define internal processes.
- Analyze information systems interfaces and perform cost-benefit analysis.
- Solve business problems related to information systems.
- Execute specifications provided by team members.
- Build technical competencies and domain knowledge through daily work and training.
- Learn project management skills, including the software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
- Follow established practices for project tracking and code quality.
- Perform data analysis and work with languages such as Java, C#, SQL, and JavaScript.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in an information systems-related field or an associate degree in a computer or technical field.
- A GPA higher than 3.0.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- A valid Texas driver's license.
- Willingness to learn and extend your existing skills.
- Experience in academic internships or participation in coding competitions and hackathons is a plus.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Waco, Texas.
- Work is performed on-site in an office environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- You may need to lift items weighing up to 30 lbs and spend extended periods sitting.
