About the role#
As a Quality Assurance Analyst Intern, you will work within the Underwriting Project Management Office to validate software, data changes, and new features for our insurance processing systems. You will receive mentorship from our team as you learn to test system functionality and ensure compliance with company guidelines and state insurance regulations. This is a paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Execute manual and automated test plans using provided tools.
- Develop test plans based on project requirements and trace them through to completion.
- Report defects, monitor them for retesting, and track testing metrics.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and developers during testing and defect resolution.
- Document meetings and maintain knowledge of processing functions and Texas Department of Insurance regulations.
- Monitor work management tools like ADO, RTC, and JIRA.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in at least an Associate degree program in computer science, a technical field, or business administration.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and complete detailed work both independently and within a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project needs.
Location & details#
- The role is based in Waco, Texas.
- This is an on-site position requiring work in an office environment.
- You may occasionally need to lift or move items weighing up to 30 lbs and spend extended periods sitting.
