About the role#
The Mobile Applications Engineering team develops the Tesla mobile app. This team builds features like climate controls, keyless entry, sentry mode, and smart summon. You will join this group as a full-time intern to work on real projects alongside hardware engineers, designers, and software teams.
What you'll do#
- Design, code, and maintain mobile user experiences.
- Optimize code to improve performance, stability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, application, UI, and QA engineers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field with a graduation date between 2027 and 2028.
- Familiarity with Swift, Kotlin, or TypeScript.
- Experience with Android or iOS development.
- Proficiency in React, React Native, and Kotlin is preferred.
- Strong grasp of fundamental computer science concepts and common design patterns.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems.
- High standards for code quality and performance.
Location & details#
- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Term: Winter 2027 through Spring 2027 (minimum 12 weeks).
- Status: Paid internship for students actively enrolled in an academic program.
