About the role#
The industrial design team develops products that support the transition to sustainable energy. This role focuses on non-vehicle products, including energy systems, charging hardware, accessories, and packaging. You will work within the design studio to contribute to projects from initial concept through to physical prototyping.
What you'll do#
- Develop creative concepts for a variety of projects.
- Create visual presentations and design assets using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Communicate design ideas through hand-sketching, rendering, and other visual storytelling methods.
- Build detailed 3D CAD models using software like SolidWorks, Alias, or Rhino.
- Produce physical prototypes through hands-on foam sculpting.
- Work with 3D digital modeling, engineering, retail development, and marketing teams.
- Support graphic design tasks and layout work as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial Design degree program or a related field.
- A professional, humble, and positive attitude.
- Previous internship or project experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Hawthorne, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Spring 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour plus benefits.
