About the role#
The Mechatronics team designs mechanisms for vehicle exterior surfaces. This role focuses on integrating sensors and actuators to meet design goals. You will join a team of engineers working on cosmetic and functional vehicle components. This is a full-time, on-site internship for the Winter and Spring 2027 term. You must be able to work 40 hours per week for at least 12 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Develop 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for various mechanisms.
- Test and characterize sensors and actuators.
- Perform debugging and root cause analysis on hardware.
- Assemble printed or machined parts by hand.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with CAD and 3D modeling software.
- Practical experience working with sensors and electronics.
- Strong grasp of mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals.
- Demonstrated interest in hands-on engineering through academic projects, passion projects, or project teams.
