About the role#
This internship program supports our materials service line. You will work alongside engineering professionals and use industry technology to gain real-world experience. Each intern is assigned a mentor to assist with career planning and technical skill development. You will participate in a cohort to connect with other interns across the company and attend a summit at the end of the summer to meet leaders and build your professional network.
What you'll do#
- Learn site safety and safe work practices.
- Perform sampling or testing as directed.
- Assist field and laboratory personnel with routine tasks.
- Transport equipment, specimens, or documents.
- Prepare reports and learn to communicate test results to clients.
- Understand testing procedures such as ASTM, DOT, and COE.
- Learn about laboratory organization, scheduling, and efficiency.
- Gain exposure to quality management systems and procedures.
- Write proposals and manage change orders.
- Engage in client interaction and learn how to provide a high level of client service.
- Execute projects safely, accurately, and profitably.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or construction engineering.
- Interest in consulting and fieldwork.
- Demonstrated curiosity and teamwork.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history may be required.
