About the role#
This summer internship offers a hands-on experience within the Natural Resources-Environmental department. You will work alongside experienced professionals and a dedicated mentor to develop your technical skills and gain insight into the environmental consulting industry. As part of an official intern cohort, you will connect with peers across the company and present your work to the executive leadership team at the end of the program.
What you'll do#
- Complete 40-hour safety training prior to your start date.
- Participate in field testing, inspection activities, and sample collection.
- Learn and perform wetland delineation procedures and Threatened and Endangered Species Surveys.
- Assist with data collection, map preparation, and report writing.
- Support field and office personnel with routine tasks.
- Take on progressively more responsibility as your training advances.
- Travel as needed to project sites.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma.
- Current enrollment in a BS degree program in biology, natural resources, environmental science, or a related field.
- Less than one year remaining to complete your degree.
