About the role#
The Software Engineering Co-Op joins the Integrated System Test Embedded Software organization. You will improve visibility into product and platform health through data-driven monitoring and analytics. This role involves working with operational logging, dashboard development, reporting, and data analysis while gaining experience with enterprise tools and embedded hardware systems.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards to provide insights into system performance, reliability, and operational trends.
- Build and improve logging and telemetry solutions, including Python-based tools for collecting, transforming, and forwarding data.
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to identify key metrics and reporting requirements.
- Analyze operational data and generate reports for engineering teams.
- Partner with team members to learn embedded hardware systems and understand how telemetry and logging data are generated.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience writing Python code for data analysis, automation, reporting, or software development projects.
- Knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and data visualization concepts.
- Experience with modern software practices like version control, automated build and release pipelines, and AI-assisted coding is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: North Reading, Massachusetts.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site, with a requirement to work from the office a minimum of three days per week.
- Compensation: $25.50 to $47.00 per hour, based on experience and skill set.
- This position is full-time, paid, and does not provide visa sponsorship.
