About the role#
The Internal Audit intern reports to the Manager of Internal Audit. You will gain practical exposure to the audit profession within a corporate setting. You will work with experienced auditors to execute Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and support enterprise risk management. This role involves interaction with personnel across the global organization.
What you'll do#
- Participate in audit meetings to build business understanding and relationships with cross-functional partners.
- Perform SOX testing in compliance with AICPA and PCAOB standards.
- Assist with financial, operational, technology, and compliance audits.
- Prepare audit work papers and reports documenting results and action plans.
- Coordinate request submissions from stakeholders for internal and SOX audits.
- Support the monitoring of management action plans to remediate internal control deficiencies.
- Conduct follow-up testing to verify remediation of control observations.
- Learn to use the Workiva internal controls platform.
- Promote a culture of accountability regarding internal controls.
- Complete assigned special projects and investigations.
- Explore professional development through training and benchmarking.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize documentation tasks.
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Aptitude for analytical problem-solving and continuous learning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Preferred: Prior experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit, or Technology.
- Preferred: Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
