About the role#
This is a full-time Product Engineering internship within the Aerospace, Defense, and Marine business unit. You will work on-site in Katy, Texas, during the summer of 2027. This role requires U.S. citizenship or status as a lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee due to export control regulations.
What you'll do#
- Provide sustaining engineering support for existing product lines.
- Improve products through value engineering initiatives to reduce costs.
- Develop solutions to complex problems using ingenuity and innovation.
- Adapt traditional approaches and precedents to solve technical challenges.
- Assist in the quotation and proposal process for customer applications.
- Interact and negotiate with internal and external customers.
- Integrate engineering theory and principles into organizational practices.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and 3D CAD/CAE software, with SolidWorks preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a technical team.
- Willingness to adjust priorities based on business needs.
- Prior internship experience or completion of a major project is preferred.
