About the role#
This is a paid, 40-hour per week, on-site internship for Summer 2027. It provides a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role. You will work alongside an Executive Team Lead mentor to understand retail business operations and develop management skills. The program focuses on leading teams, identifying store priorities, and delivering guest service.
What you'll do#
- Spend time on the salesfloor and in the backroom leading team members.
- Lead daily priorities like stocking shelves and building displays.
- Partner with other leaders to coach team members and address performance concerns.
- Lead and present at daily huddles.
- Plan daily goals and organize store operations.
- Review business reports and guest insights to identify opportunities.
- Provide new ideas and recommend solutions for business or team needs.
- Engage with guests to help solve their needs and ensure an exceptional experience.
- Participate in training activities and developmental events.
- Foster an inclusive, equitable, and safe culture while maintaining ethical conduct.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management.
- Leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to manage workloads.
- Effective communication skills and a welcoming attitude.
- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology.
- Capability to handle cash register operations and communicate on multiple frequency devices.
- Physical ability to access all areas of the building, climb ladders, and move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Ability to interpret instructions, reports, and business information.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
