About the role#
Tampa Bay Sun FC is looking for an intern to join the Fan Experience and Event Marketing team for the 2027 season. This role offers hands-on experience in live event operations, fan engagement, and community outreach. You will work with the Fan Experience and Event Coordinator to help create events that connect the community to the club. This is a paid position that is also eligible for college credit.
What you'll do#
- Assist with pre-game and in-game entertainment, including promotions, giveaways, and fan activations.
- Support match-day logistics, including setup, breakdown, and managing promotional inventory.
- Execute theme nights, Kids Club activities, and other fan engagement programs.
- Represent the club at community events, youth soccer tournaments, festivals, and school appearances.
- Manage mascot and street team appearances and support youth engagement initiatives.
- Take ownership of assigned projects from the planning phase through final execution.
- Research engagement trends and contribute creative ideas for new promotions.
- Track event participation, collect fan feedback, and compile recaps to evaluate program success.
- Maintain event schedules, checklists, and inventory records.
- Collaborate with internal departments and participate in regular team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or a related field.
- A strong interest in sports, live events, and fan engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and solve problems independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Previous experience in sports, event operations, or customer service is helpful but not required.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including all home matches and club events.

- This is an on-site, full-time internship for the Summer 2027 term.
