About the role#
The Business and Financial Analyst Intern will join the Finance team for the Summer 2027 term. This paid, full-time position offers hands-on experience in financial processes, business planning, and data analysis. You will work alongside professionals to contribute to projects that improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
What you'll do#
- Analyze financial, sales, and operational data to identify business trends.
- Support pricing and profitability analysis to understand revenue drivers.
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to evaluate campaign performance and customer trends.
- Conduct market and competitive research to support strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain Excel-based financial models and analytical tools.
- Assist with data validation and reporting accuracy through root-cause analysis.
- Present your summer project findings to department leaders at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Rising Junior status pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and charts. Exposure to Power Query or Power Pivot is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others.
- Self-motivated mindset with a willingness to take initiative.
Location & details#
- Location: St. Louis, Missouri.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. The schedule includes on-site work Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Fridays.
- Term: Summer 2027.
